1. Overview
At Portal Juice, we want you to be satisfied with our service. This Refund Policy explains our approach to cancellations, refunds, and billing for our HubSpot marketplace applications.
2. Free Trial Period
All new customers receive a 14-day free trial of our Starter or Professional plans:
- Full access to paid features during the trial
- Credit card required at signup
- Cancel anytime during the trial for $0 charge
- Automatic conversion to paid subscription if not canceled before trial ends
💡 Pro Tip: Try the service during your 14-day trial. If it's not a fit, cancel before the trial ends and you won't be charged.
3. Subscription Billing
3.1 Monthly Subscriptions
- Billed on a monthly recurring basis
- Charges occur on the same day each month (your billing anniversary)
- Payments processed automatically via Stripe
- Receipt sent via email after each successful charge
3.2 Annual Subscriptions
If you choose annual billing:
- Save 17% (equivalent to 2 months free)
- Billed once per year
- Same refund policy applies (see Section 4)
4. Refund Policy
4.1 During Free Trial
✅ 100% Risk-Free
Cancel anytime during your 14-day trial and you will not be charged. No questions asked.
4.2 After Free Trial (First 7 Days)
⚠️ Case-by-Case Refunds
If you're not satisfied within the first 7 days after your trial ends, contact us at support@portaljuice.io. We'll review refund requests on a case-by-case basis.
To request a refund, provide:
- Your account email
- Reason for dissatisfaction
- What we could do better
4.3 After First Month
❌ No Refunds for Partial Months
After your first month, we do not offer refunds for partial billing periods. When you cancel:
- You retain access until the end of your current billing period
- No charges occur after cancellation
- No refund for the remaining days in the current period
Example: If you're billed on the 1st of each month and cancel on the 15th, you have access until the end of the month, but the charge for that month is non-refundable.
5. Cancellation
5.1 How to Cancel
You can cancel your subscription at any time:
- Self-Service (Recommended):
- Log in to your Portal Juice account
- Go to Settings → Billing
- Click "Cancel Subscription"
- Confirm cancellation
- Email Support: Send a cancellation request to support@portaljuice.io
5.2 What Happens When You Cancel
- ✅ You keep access until the end of your current billing period
- ✅ No further charges will be made
- ✅ Your data is retained for 90 days (in case you want to reactivate)
- ❌ No refund for the current billing period
- ❌ After 90 days, your data may be permanently deleted
5.3 Reactivation
Changed your mind? You can reactivate within 90 days:
- Log in to your account
- Go to Settings → Billing
- Click "Reactivate Subscription"
- Your data and settings will be restored
6. Payment Failures
6.1 Failed Payment Process
If your payment fails:
- We'll email you immediately
- Automatic retry in 3 days
- Second retry in 5 days if still failing
- Account suspended after 7 days of failed payment
- Account deleted after 30 days if payment not resolved
6.2 Updating Payment Method
Update your payment method anytime:
- Go to Settings → Billing
- Click "Update Payment Method"
- Enter new card details
- Save changes
7. Downgrades and Upgrades
7.1 Upgrading (Free → Paid or Starter → Pro)
- Takes effect immediately
- Prorated charge for remainder of billing period
- Next charge at full price on your billing anniversary
7.2 Downgrading (Pro → Starter or Paid → Free)
- Takes effect at the end of your current billing period
- You keep the higher tier until then
- No refund for the difference
- Usage limits of new tier apply after downgrade
8. Exceptional Circumstances
We may issue refunds outside this policy for:
- Service Outages: Extended downtime caused by us (credit or prorated refund)
- Billing Errors: Incorrect charges or duplicate billing
- Unauthorized Charges: If someone used your account without permission
- Technical Issues: Critical bugs that prevent service use (we'll fix or refund)

9. Chargebacks
Please contact us before initiating a chargeback.
If you file a chargeback without contacting us:
- Your account will be immediately suspended
- We may pursue the debt through collections
- Chargeback fees ($25-50) may be added to your balance
